Zig-Zag Batik Quilt

So all I had to do is add borders to this quilt and it was be ready to quilt. I was able to sneak this one in and was able to get it quilted and completed.  I started this quilt back in March at Quilt Retreat and finally got it completed.

Linking up to the 2014 Finish Along.

Q4 - Goals Wrap-up

Time to check in on where I am at with my Q4 Goals!  This quarter I had high hope of completing much of my to-do list.  Here is where I am currently at. Please note I have linked back to the completion post which provide some additional details.

Great news – This quilt is complete.  Here it is, in its new home….my living room. It’s a much needed addition to the room as I always seem to be cold when I spend evenings in the living room.

Quilt #2 - Sister's Choice
More great news is that I finished my Sister’s Choice quilt (Bonnie Hunter pattern) and it is on its way to my sister and her husband across the country in the state of Washington.  Hopefully they will like the new addition to their home.

Quilt #3 - Science Fair
Earlier this year my nephew and son both moved from toddler beds to their “big boy beds”.  As such neither of them had quilts large enough for their new beds.  This Christmas that will change.  I have just finished the binding on the quilt for my nephew.  It is Science Fair by Jaybird Quilts and should be bright and full of cheer in his room.

Quilt #7 - Son's quilt
Now I am going to skip around a bit, as I decided to make this quilt a bit higher on my list.  Since my nephew is getting a quilt for Christmas, and my son needs a larger quilt also, I figured I better get busy.  I ended up deciding on Night’s Sky by Jaybird quilts for the pattern.  It went well with all of the bright colored fabric I had picked out.  I also have to say that I have fallen in love with Julie’s patterns.  She gives such great directions these quilt block centers went together during my weekend at fall quilt retreat.  So happy with how this one turned out.  Hope my son likes it!

So all I had to do is add borders to this quilt and it was be ready to quilt. I was able to sneak this one in and was able to get it quilted and completed.

Quilt #6: Snowball Quilt
This quilt I hoped to have on my bed for winter, and it happened!  This quilt had been sitting since march with only the borders still needing to be added and the quilting to be completed.  I am happy to say it is complete!

Now on to the sad news….the neglected UFO’s that I thought I would get to this quarter, however they still sit…untouched…

Quilt #4 – Dr. Who
I have been bad with my Dr. Who quilt.  It has not been touched in months and is sitting quietly in the closet waiting to be worked on.  Hopefully over the holidays I can find some time to dedicate to this quilt.  For now it remains unfinished.

Lastly I can’t forget the quilts that I had no intentions of finishing this year, but wanted to keep track of.  I will add these to my 2015 list.
·        Grandmother's flower garden – Need to decide on a design....or make more flowers
·        Wall Hanging: Totem Poles – need to finish the applique
